Pattana Pragathi Toilet Monitoring System

Mobile + web platform for 150+ municipalities pursuing ODF++ status

With over 150 newly formed municipalities and 10,000+ public toilets planned in a single year, Telangana's legacy monitoring systems could not keep pace with the state's push for Open Defecation Free ++ status under Swachh Bharat guidelines.

We built a deliberately simple mobile app for Telugu-medium ground staff and sanitary inspectors — photo uploads, weekly review questions, real-time reporting — backed by a complex CDMA web dashboard managing planned, under-construction and functional toilets across the state. Simplicity of use was engineered to drive the good behaviour of twice-weekly toilet maintenance.

The app was launched for public use by the Hon'ble Minister for IT & MA&UD on October 2nd, 2020.

INK@WASH & the WASH Innovation Hub

Digital, brand and IT backbone for India's WASH innovation ecosystem

Conceived in 2019 under the leadership of Prof. Srinivas Chary and Dr. Y. Malini Reddy, INK@WASH became the meeting point for startups solving Water, Sanitation & Hygiene problems. INK@WASH 1.0 was a roaring success — the Hon'ble Minister announced S-Hub with a ₹25 crore corpus on the back of it.

When the pandemic hit, INK@WASH 2.0 went fully online without losing momentum, extending into plastic recycling. By 2022, 110+ MoUs had been signed and the Minister committed that 'Telangana will be their first customer'. The property is now guarded by the WASH Innovation Hub (ASCI & GoTS), which works with 600+ startups and innovators.

DWI.agency received the WASH Stewardship Award for Digital, Brand and IT support — presented by the Hon'ble Minister for MA&UD and IT.
